Reed Invites Residents to Homer City Town Hall Meeting
3/22/2010

Rep. Dave Reed (R-Indiana) is inviting local residents to join him at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, for a town hall meeting at the Homer City Volunteer Fire Department.

“This is one of many ways I stay in touch with the people I work for,” Reed said.  “My job requires me to travel to Harrisburg to stand up for the things that matter most to the folks from the 62nd Legislative District.  To do that effectively, I try to stay in constant contact with them.  Whether it’s through a town hall meeting like this, going to community events or just meeting with folks in my district office, I try to make myself available to the people in our district.”

The Homer City Volunteer Fire Department is located at 25 West Church St. in Homer City.  The event is open to the public; however, reservations are required to ensure enough refreshments are available for all who attend.

To attend, residents should call Reed’s district office at 724-465-0220 by Monday, March 22, to make a reservation.  Residents also can register for the event by visiting Reed’s Web site at RepDaveReed.net and clicking on the “Upcoming Events” link on the left-hand side.

This will be the third in a series of three town hall meetings Reed has scheduled in March.  Reed hosted a town hall meeting in Blairsville on March 4 and another in Indiana on March 11.

“We’re wrapping up the spring town hall meeting schedule, but we’ll be back in the fall,” Reed said.  “Until then, people can always contact me by stopping by my district office, calling or checking out my Web page at RepDaveReed.net.”
